My name is Jenna Scott and I am a 10 year karate practitioner living in Campbell River, BC CANADA. I joined the Northwest Shitokai Karate School when I was 4 years old and I am now working toward my Junior Black Belt. Karate has become a one of the biggest parts of my life and I will never stop practicing my art....It is a lifetime study.

A Bit of Karate History...
The art of Karate has been traced back to the sixth century in China, Okinawa. After some time and a lot of history, the masters of karate brought the art to Japan in the early 20th century, and developed karate into a system of what we see today.
Karate is 1 of 7 Asian unarmed combats. There are many types that are popular such as Chinese, Japanese, Okinawan and Korean. Each style has a different skill and ability required like strength and patience. Many North American students learn more than one style of karate.

The End???
There is no end and getting my black belt is just the begining for me. I strive to be strong, to be confident and to share karate with the world. I am determined to be the BC Provincial Champion and one day be the Canadian National Champion. The most important thing to me and the goal I know I will reach, is to be a Sensei one day myself.
